Denver-produced parody set to go viral

Before the holiday season, Lisa Sanow and her crew at SeaHawk Productions shot a 4-minute, 15-second video with the intent of going viral.

The video's subject: The Inappropriate Medium.
Theme: parody.

Algerita Wynn plays Ty'resa Caruso, a woman who sees the dead, and interacts with people struggling with the deaths of their loved ones. Quirky and facetious, Ty'resa approaches strangers in coffee shops, doctors offices, on the streets, etc. to interrogate them for information about their departed.

The Inappropriate Medium is a jestful poke at reality series The Long Island Medium. The latter covers the life of medium Theresa Caputo as she goes about her day-to-day routines communicating with the dead and reading her clients one-on-one or in groups. The biggest challenge comes from her family—husband and two children—who have to live with their wife and mother's often questionable career.

Sanow is the founder behind SeaHawk Productions. With an extensive theatrical resume, she has appeared in over 28 films (White Man's Burden, Little Giants) and took up helm as director in several shorts (Putnam Palace, Gone Postal, Twisted Faith). Her films have appeared at an array of film festivals, including Cannes. She holds two Masters from California State (Mass Communications) and Loyola Marymount (Screenwriting).

Sanow's parody is the latest project to be released from SeaHawk. Pre-production for her next feature, Putnam County Law is currently under way.
