On Saturday, April 26, 2014, the Denver Health Foundation will be having their NightShine Gala Celebrating Denver Health at the National Western Events Center, 1525 East 47th Avenue, in Denver. This event will be an exciting night with cocktails, dinner, auctions and entertainment.
The focus of this year’s NightShine Gala is Child and Adolescent Behavioral Health Services. Psychiatry treatment is provided on both an inpatient and outpatient basis, and at school-based clinics for a variety of issues including abuse, drug addiction, bi-polar, depression and suicidal disorders. Denver Health is the only medical center in the city of Denver to offer this level of comprehensive services to children and teens.
The 2014 Honoree is David McReynolds. David is the Founder and President of Columbine Health Plan in Denver and is a Colorado Native. He started out in the auto glass industry and then worked with the San Jose Diablos, an International Volleyball Association, as the Vice President of Sales and Marketing he also was the host of a radio talk show “Sportsprobe” and has owned and operated businesses in food services and advertising. He founded Columbine Health Plan in 1993. He is a member of the Denver Foundation Board.
The Chairs of the event this year are; Steven Demby and R. Stanton Dodge.
Steve Demby is on the Board of Directors for the Denver Health Foundation and is a shareholder at Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck and provides counsel to owners, managers, investors and financiers. He is very active in the community with his service on many organizational boards.
R. Stanton Dodge serves as Executive Vice President and General Counsel of DISH. Dodge is responsible for all legal and government affairs for DISH and its subsidiaries. Since joining DISH in November 1996, he has held positions of increasing responsibility in the legal department. Prior to joining DISH, Dodge was a law clerk to the Hon. Jose D. L. Marquez of the Colorado Court of Appeals. Dodge is actively involved in many political, charitable and community causes. He serves as a member of the board of directors of National Jewish Health and the Denver Scholarship Foundation.
The night will start out with a Cocktail reception at 6:00 p.m. followed by Dinner from 7:30 till 8:30 p.m. After Dinner the Program, in which they will Honor David McReynolds, and Live Auctions will take place.
After enjoying cocktails, dinner and the live auctions have your boarding passes ready for a live musical performance by Michael Franti and Spearhead, a band that blends hip hop with a variety of other styles including funk, reggae, jazz, folk, and rock. Individual tickets are available for $500.00 and tables of 10 and other sponsorships are available from $5,000.00 and up.
The Denver Health Foundation is welcoming everyone to this night of fundraising for an organization whom provides a wide range of support mechanisms for the community. From infants to adults they consider themselves to be the “National Model” for health care success in specialties like orthopedics, infectious diseases, urology and complications surrounding eating disorders. They are said to provide the bulk of uncompensated healthcare services for residents in the area which total more than $450 million dollars, approximately 40% of babies born in the city are born at Denver Health, thousands of school children receive their care there and hundreds of doctors and nurses receive training at the facility.
