Denver Comic Con thrills with Batman guest announcement

Holy nerd news Batman! Denver Comic Con’s guest continues to excite comic and pop culture enthusiasts with today’s announcement. None other than the original Batman crew of Adam West, Burt Ward and Julie Newmar will be attending the convention. Bonus is the addition of Kevin Conroy, the voice of Batman in Batman: The Animated Series as part of the Batman to the programming. Denver area geeks of all ages will invade the breathtaking Colorado Convention Center Denver Comic Con this June 13 - 15, 2014. West has kept busy with his hilarious portrayal of the mayor in Family Guy, while Ward has been devoting his heart and time to some amazing charities. Newmar has had a successful stage and screen career with even a Tony Award under her belt. Conroy is known as the voice of Batman. DC’s Batman: The Animated Series and has been in a number of animated Batman movies.

Along with the Batman crew will be the 5th doctor, Peter Davison, Evil Dead icon Bruce Campbell, Buffy the Vampire Slayer’s Nicholas Brendon, The Walking Dead’s Chandler Riggs and Michael Rooker, Walter Koenig, Jim Cummings, Neal Adams, Christopher Jones, Yanick Paquette and Peter Tomasi, and the big names continue on.

Big names in the biz as well as fans will all come together to raise funds for the non-profit organization Comic Book Classroom. This charity is a Non-profit organization created for low income schools and communities to help children with reading and writing difficulties. It's a six week program geared towards needy kids by utilizing comic books and graphic novels as a teaching tool. By the end of the program, these kids will have actually written and designed their own comic books. Have fun and raise money for a good cause.
