Denver Broncos and Seattle Seahawks advance to Super Bowl XLVIII

Metlife Stadium will be welcoming the two top seeds from the NFC - AFC conferences in the Denver Broncos and Seattle Seahawks for Super Bowl XLVIII on February 2, 2014.

Behind their #1 ranked defense, Seattle Seahawks forced three fourth quarter turnovers against Colin Kaepernick's San Francisco 49ers in a 23 - 17 victory. The game ultimately ended when Kaepernick's pass towards the end zone for wide receiver Michael Crabtree was tipped by one of the best defensive backs in the league, Richard Sherman leading to a game saving interception from linebacker Malcolm Smith.

While in Denver, Peyton Manning picked apart the New England Patriots all afternoon, throwing for 400 yards and 2 touchdowns in a 26 - 16 Broncos victory over the AFC East champions New England Patriots. Rival quarterback Tom Brady finished the afternoon throwing for 277 yards, 1 touchdown and 1 rushing touchdown in a losing effort.

Super Bowl XLVIII will feature the #1 Seattle Seahawks defense against the #1 Denver Broncos offense. The Denver Broncos averaged 457.3 yards and the 37.9 per game in the regular season. While Seattle allowed the fewest yards 273.6 per game and fewest points 14.4 per game in the regular season.
