Denver Bars and Restaurants: Samba Room

Samba Room brings Latin spice to the heart of Larimer Square. The cozy, chill ambience is very inviting for those looking to gather over exotic cuisine and relax with a few glasses of wine. The upper level of Samba Room is a bit more secluded and quiet which makes it perfect for a romantic date. The main dining area/bar allows you to mix and mingle among the fun Latin music with your closest friends while enjoying the view overlooking the beautiful Larimer Square.

Samba Room offers over 70 selections of wine, many available by half glass, glass, or half bottle. Bottles of wine vary from $9-$280 a bottle, with the average price $45. They also feature wine flights, which is a sampling of three different wines. Based on your preference, you can choose from four white flights as well as four red flights. Flights vary between $9-$11. If you aren’t in the mood for wine make sure to check out their signature cocktail menu including their amazing mojitos. I suggest the Pomegranate Mojitos. You aren’t going to want to stop at one!

Happy hour is Monday thru Saturday from 4PM-7PM as well as all day on Sunday. During this time you can enjoy ½ price select liquors, wines, and mojitos. A happy hour menu is also available in the bar area.

Besides the great cocktails, be sure to check out the menu. The elegant food presentation is only trumped by the taste. A few local favorites include the Maryland Bluefin Crab Cakes, Peruvian Fried Calamari, and the Pork Barbacoa.

Samba Room is located at 1460 Larimer Street. Reservations can be made online or by calling 720.956.1701. Lunch is served daily 11:30AM-4PM. Dinner is served Sunday thru Wednesday until 10PM and Thursday-Saturday until 11PM with the bar open later. If you go later in the evening you shouldn’t need reservations and I suggest sitting in the bar area to really enjoy the fun vibe that the Samba Room has to offer.
