Denver bars and restaurants: Lime

Lime has been a longtime favorite of the Denver ‘it’ crowd. With its three Denver locations and its cool smooth vibe, Lime has managed to win the often wavering hearts of the Denver masses. Its Larimer Square location (1414 Larimer Street), which has been around for a little over 8 years, serves as a trendy hot spot for a variety of both weekday and weekend gatherings. From mixing and mingling to people watching, birthday destinations, romancing your sweetie and dancing the night away, Lime is your one stop shop for delicious Mexican- American inspired drinks and eats all at a reasonable price.

Along with a great happy hour Monday thru Friday from 3-6PM, Lime also has features each night that mix up the atmosphere. If you aren’t ready to end the weekend just yet stop in for Monday Madness featuring 2 for 1 appetizers and drinks from 7PM until close. Tuesday nights at Lime rival their weekend crowd with the ever popular Taco Tuesday. As you can guess Taco Tuesday is all about the tacos for $1. Order up your tacos any way you like with their easy taco check list. Wash those tacos down with their $4 margaritas and $3 tequila shots and you’re bound to have a mid week party in your mouth. Make sure to get there early because this place is filled to the brim on Tuesdays. Thursday mixes things up a bit with $5 mojitos and burritos. The strawberry-banana mojito is to die for. They also have a live magician for your viewing pleasure.

Lime is a great place to meet with friends on the weekends as well. Be warned that it is not your local library and can be a bit on the loud side, but then again that is what the weekend is for. The music selection is great for getting the party started ranging from hip hop to techno to top 40 pop. Make sure to get your complimentary tequila shot served in none other than a lime!
