The Denver Arts Week is a celebration of the visual and performing arts that Denver has to offer. Featured events will take place in seven art districts, 20 museums, and 100 art galleries. Sunset Magazine recently claimed: “The Mile High City is remaking itself as a world capital of art and architecture,” and Visit Denver, along with other sponsors, are aiming to draw both local and national attention to the artistic changes in the city.

DAW will start off with the granddaddy of all First Friday art walks. This Friday has promised to be a pumped up version of the monthly art walks and will feature food and drinks, late open hours at galleries, and a festive atmosphere. As part of Arts Week the walk will continue past Friday and the districts have a full schedule of events stretching through next Saturday.

The art districts that will be participating include: ArtDistrict On Santa Fe, Cherry Creek North, Golden Triangle Museum District, Downtown Denver, RiNo (River North Art District), Tennyson Street Cultural District, and Belmar Block 7.
