BLACK TIE FOR DENKAI - Denkai Animal Sanctuary, a no-kill facility located in Weld County, is planning its first black tie event. Wags to Wishes will be held at the Fort Collins Marriott from 5 pm - 10 pm on March 18. Among the features will be live and silent auctions, a dog parade, cash bar, full course meal and live entertainment. Tickets are $75 and up.
CHOW DOWN FOR CATS - On Thursday, Feb. 28, 20 percent of proceeds from all lunch and dinner sales at La Dolce Vita Ristorante Italiano in Castle Pines go to the Cat Care Society of Lakewood. The restaurant is also participating in Denver Restaurant Week (Feb. 23 through March 8), so diners can also enjoy selections from a special menu that includes an appetizer, entree, and dessert for two people for $52.80.

ANNIVERSARY PARTY - Zoom Room in Denver is celebrating its first anniversary with a party Friday, March 1 from 6 to 9 p.m. The cost is $10 in advance per person, or $15 at door. Fifty percent of the cover charge and 10 percent of sales for the day will be donated to the Humane Society of the South Platte Valley in Littleton
There will be a food spread, adult beverages, a photo booth by Karen Hoglund, drawings for goodies, an arts & crafts corner, doggy disco and more.

NEW CHILI DATE - Due to snowy weather the 19th Annual MaxFund Chili Cookoff, originally scheduled Feb. 24, has been re-scheduled to Sunday, March 3 at 1 p.m. at Celtic Tavern/Delaney's Bar (1801 Blake Street in LoDo Denver).
ADOPTION OPTION - Colorado Puppy Rescue will be holding an adoption event Saturday, March 2 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Petco storo at Colorado Boulevard and I-25.
