Denise Richards will be in court as early as this week where she will meet with social workers from the Los Angeles County Department of Children & Family Services in regards to Brooke Mueller's recent claims that the actress is abusive to her children.
"It has been alleged that Denise not only physically abused the children, but neglected them as well,” a source close to the situation revealed to Radar Online on December 3. "This is being taken very seriously by Denise. To say she is upset and disgusted by Brooke’s actions are an understatement."
For the last several months, Denise had been caring for Brooke's children, Bob and Max, as well as her own, as a favor to her ex-husband, Charlie Sheen, and also because she cared for the children. So, Denise is likely feeling that this whole ordeal is quite the smack in the face -- despite no evidence have surfaced that warrants Brooks claims.
"Under the law, the claims must be investigated," the source explained. "Social workers might want to interview Denise’s daughters and Denise will fight that. Her daughters don’t need to be dragged into this drama. They are children who are very well cared for and loved."
Just weeks ago, Denise had filed paperwork to end her care for the boys after she claimed that they had gotten violent with her daughters, their pets, and even school teachers. Now more than ever, Denise knows that she made the right choice.
"Denise now knows definitively that she made the best decision for her family by giving up being the temporary guardian for Bob and Max," added the source. "The chaos and never-ending drama that follows their lives — because of their mother — just made it impossible for Denise’s own family to exist like a normal one."
