Denis Leary causes controversy with 'Charlie Brown Christmas' spoof

Sometimes, it takes a while for a video to get attention -- and after it happens, not all of the reaction is going to be positive.

Take for instance "Rescue Me" star Denis Leary, who earlier this month re-posted a spoof of "A Charlie Brown Christmas" that was done years ago. Basically, the video (which you can see to the left) sees Charlie Brown and Linus converting to Islam and trying to build a bomb. The video only recently caught the attention of many Islamic equality groups, and Islamophobia Watch recently slammed the video by saying the following:

"Just what the world needs. A jaw-droppingly Islamophobic video has been posted by Irish-American comedian Denis Leary on WhoSay. Some years ago Leary took a firm stand against Mel Gibson’s antisemitism. But apparently crude anti-Muslim stereotyping is fine with Leary.”

While this video received plenty of criticism to begin with, do you think the presence of new programming (such as "All-American Muslim") designed to show Muslim-Americans in a more positive light makes Leary's presentation even more offensive?
