Former Michigan Wolverines Quarterback Denard Robinson will be the cover star of the "NCAA Football 14,” Electronic Arts confirmed on Tuesday.
Robinson won a closely contested fan-vote over former Texas A&M wide receiver Ryan Swope. Although polls closed Friday, the announcement was delayed following an investigation into voting irregularities.
"I want to say thank you to all the fans at Michigan for getting behind me," Robinson said on Michigan football's Twitter page Tuesday. "Michigan has one of the best fan bases. I can't thank the fans enough for their votes. It's hard to put into words what all of their support means to me."
Robinson, the Wolverines’ all-time rusher among quarterbacks, will be the third player in team history to be on the NCAA game cover, joining Charles Woodson (1999) and Desmond Howard (2006).
Over his last three seasons with Michigan, Robinson ran for 37 touchdowns and threw for 47 more.
