Demonology and Possession 101 with Archbishop James Long is a joint venture between Forgotten Time and the historic Roads Hotel, to be held Saturday July 20, 2013 in Atlanta, Indiana.
Archbishop Long is a figure well known in the paranormal community for his sincerity and determination to help those in need when confronting the “darker” side of paranormal investigating. We first took notice of James Long when he appeared on a Ghost Adventures television episode calmly and quietly mentoring the lads as they dealt with darker forces while investigating Bobby Mackey’s Music World in Wilder, Kentucky; the show effectively put this establishment on the paranormal radar.
Father Long feels that God has called him into the priesthood…this call emulating from his childhood. Theological differences with the Roman Catholic Church resulted in his ordination into the Independent Catholic Church. His resolve remains firm—“Discerning God’s presence through Spiritual direction.” This resolve is rooted in concrete. His home-base is at St. Christopher Old Catholic Church in Louisville, Kentucky.
Long is aligned with the Paranormal Clergy—a team to be used as a resource—and with a focused mission to help home owners and paranormal groups who are directly involved with demonic infestation cases or simply have questions regarding demonic activity.
Father Long will speak from 6:00 to 8:00 PM with the sole objective of giving the paranormal investigator a fundamental understanding of Demonology and Possession, and the things (clues) to look for in potential cases of demonic infiltration.
The Roads Hotel has a colorful history as a former hotel, bed & breakfast, bordello, and a rumored stint as a speakeasy during the Prohibition years, attracting an interesting mix of clientele in the process. Its latter years were spent on and off as a private residence. And…as with any location with a history of “drastic” change, there appear to be remnants left behind: shadows, flickering lights, footsteps, the opening and closing of doors, and conversations emitting from the upper story. There have been reported apparitional sightings as well.
One can only wonder how Archbishop James Long will react to the Roads Hotel.
From 4:00 to 6:00 PM the Road’s staff will host tours, with a public ghost hunt offered at 9:00PM. There is a separate fee for the tours and ghost hunt, and is not included in Archbishop’s speaking engagement. These tickets can be accessed through the Roads Hotel website.
Tickets for the Archbishop’s talk can be purchased through the Forgotten Time website. An added bonus of 10 early bird discounted tickets is currently being offered. Tickets for Long’s talk are sure to sell out fast!
It will be an insightful evening at a proven haunted location…with invaluable information for the potential and veteran paranormal investigator alike.
