Democratic House member thinks Ted Cruz is a 'friendly' person

According to a December 14, 2013 story in the Daily Caller, Rep. Gwen Moore, D-Wisc., found Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas to be a “friendly person.” She also came to realize why someone might have voted for him.

Moore was one of the several Democratic House members who flew with Cruz to the Nelson Mandela memorial service and back, a total round trip time of 40 hours.

While the conservation with Cruz touched on family and children, political issues were also raised during the flight to and from South Africa. Moore expressed surprise that Cruz was unmoved by her arguments concerning Obamacare, school choice, and other subjects.

"I was disappointed a little bit with just how — as one of my colleagues observed during the discussion — no matter how much sense you make, when people have their ideological stance, they aren't going to be persuaded by any facts you present to them," Moore said quite revealingly. No doubt Cruz thinks the same thing about her “ideological stance” and her inability to “be persuaded by any facts” presented to her.
