Democrat’s disarmament plan: ‘Turn in your firearms, get a tax credit’

While senior Democrats pledged today that Congress will pass significant gun-control legislation, but with the backing of Washington lawmakers and pressure from Americans across the country, two House Democrats proposed a bill that would ask citizens to turn in their weapons to get money, a tax credit up to $2,000 in return.

When President Obama’s former Chief of Staff, Rahm Emanuel said in an interview in 2008, “You don’t ever want a crisis to go to waste; it’s an opportunity to do important things that you would otherwise avoid.”…Democrats continue to take advisement and look for ways to achieve their goals, and in this case, the use of the tragedy of the mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary to find ways to lure tax payers with money by using a tax credit to get them to turn in their weapons.

U.S. Rep. Rosa DeLauro of CT, a Democrat, came up with a bill, H.R.226, the Support Assault Firearms Elimination and Reduction for our Streets Act, which would amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to allow a credit against tax for surrendering to authorities certain assault weapons. Joining her, co-sponsor of the bill, U.S. Rep.Raul Grijalva of Arizona, feels that this bill is a way to get firearms of certain kinds off the streets.

Part of the bill reads:
In general.--In the case of an individual who surrenders a specified assault weapon to the United States or a State or local government (or political subdivision thereof) as part of a Federal, State, or local public safety program to reduce the number of privately owned weapons, on the election
of the taxpayer there shall be allowed as a credit against the tax imposed by this chapter an amount equal to $2,000.

Three days ago, Kurt Nimmo of Infowars said, “The bill is yet more evidence that federal and state governments are now pulling out all stops short of door-to-door confiscation in their coordinated effort to disarm the American people.”

“Strikingly honest language included in the legislation specifies that the bill is part of the government’s “program to reduce the number of privately owned weapons,” in short, a program to disarm the American people.”
