Fans of Demi Moore have been following the story of her frightening 911 call and hospitalization all week, and a number of new details emerged Friday. The 911 call for help has been released, and media outlets are picking up details that had not previously been shared with the public. While Scottsdale fans and criticizers of Moore are shocked at the incident and are hopeful she will accept help, they cannot help but be saddened by just how desperate the situation has become. Now People.com picked up on the fact it seems Moore's oldest daughter Rumer may have been at the house when Demi started convulsing, and this seems to escalate the sad incident to even higher levels for some fans.
Friday TMZ shared the audio of the 911 call, which you can listen to on the left-hand side of the page. People picked up on an interesting and sad detail during the call, which had numerous different voices as they frantically called for help and tried to guide emergency personnel to the house. Several times listeners can hear “Ru” being asked what the name is on at the gate and other details. As People points out, “Ru” seems likely to be Rumer Willis, Demi Moore's daughter with ex-husband Bruce Willis. The site notes that Rumer often goes by the nickname and even uses it on Twitter, and photos of Rumer looking frightened and in despair at the hospital have been shared on numerous sites this week.
Details in the call have led many sites to suspect Demi Moore was smoking K2 or Spice. WebMD shares this is a “currently legal herbal incense product spiked with powerful designer drugs” that mimics marijuana but is not picked up in drug tests. Someone on the call noted she had been smoking something like incense, which is a common description of the drug that the FDA is becoming increasingly concerned about in this country. In addition, TMZ reports that those at the scene told paramedics that Moore had been doing “whip-its,” inhaling nitrous oxide, which deprives the brain and heart of oxygen. The 911 caller indicated that Moore was convulsing and semi-conscious.
The idea that Moore was doing these activities with her 23-year-old daughter home, and who knows exactly who else, is leading to outrage among many following the story. It seems obvious now that Moore is in desperate need of help and intervention, and fans hope that she will take the necessary steps to clean up and set an example for her daughters. Reports of Moore's slide into substance abuse have been swirling since the news broke of ex-husband Ashton Kutcher's fling with Sara Leal, and it seems clear now there was more credence to those reports than many realized.
What do you think of Demi Moore's recent troubles? Do you think her daughter was there, and does that affect your opinion of her? Moore doesn't have any current projects in theaters, though it is easy to find her in older shows on television. Soapnet still airs old General Hospital episodes featuring her, and both Ghost and Indecent Proposal are currently showing on AMC, channel 43 on Cox in Scottsdale, or TVGN, channel 97 on Cox.
