Demi Moore responds through Twitter to potential suicide victim. Early Friday morning, actress Demi Moore and actress Nia Vardalos, of "My Big Fat Greek Wedding," responded to Twitter messages from suicidal person.
An 18-year-old man tweeted out messages that he was going to hang himself in his front yard in Casselberry, north of Orlando.
The man said, "I'm about to go hang myself from a tree outside my house and end my life. I have no reason to live anymore."
The he said: "I am going to send a live feed of me hanging myself. No one cares if I die or not."
Demi Moore tweeted from her MrsKutcher twitter account: "R U rlly asking 4 help?"
Vardalos responded with a message stating that she had called a suicide hotline and been connected to Florida police. "I gave his name+city. They went to home, helped him," one message read.
The Seminole County Sheriff's Office reported that they received two phone calls around 2:30 a.m. Friday who reported that there was a suicide threat on Twitter. Neither of the callers gave their names, but one call came from California and the other from Vancouver, British Columbia. The Sheriff’s Office reported that they found the man and took him to the hospital.
According to Q13Fox.com, the teenage boy’s mother reported that her son was very emotional and was diagnosed with obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD).
This is the second time that Moore was involved in a possible suicide threat through Twitter, and took action. The ‘net buzz on this story it hot because it just happened today and fans who follow Demi Moore on Twitter want to know how she helped out.
