Demi Moore not dead: Nitrous oxide death Twitter hoax (Audio)

Rest assured Demi Moore is not dead from a recent nitrous oxide health scare. But Friday on Twitter, the soon to be divorced bride to Ashton Kutcher joined Cher in the latest death hoax on social media.

The buzz around the "Ghost" star is likely keeping the troubled actress in an unwanted spotlight. With personal details of her failed marriage constantly occupying the celebrity headlines and online media gossip, her recent health scare with nitrous oxide a.k.a. whip-its, is said to be behind her sudden death (hoax).

While there has been no official confirmation of her passing, undoubtedly Demi Moore is not dead at the hands of a nitrous oxide overdose. But at least she is in some elite company, as superstar entertainer Cher was also recently killed off in a Twitter death hoax.

As fast as the rumors spread in Sin City, trigger-happy betting enthusiasts were making friendly wagers that the star was the victim of another nasty prank.

Still others were not so convinced, as it wouldn't be out of the ordinary for a well-known celebrity to meet their demise at the hands of an unforgiving public.

Besides, Demi Moore and Bruce Willis were married in Las Vegas in 1987. And don't soon forget that the Strip used to be her stomping grounds whenever she felt like letting her hair down. The City of Lights is not ready to part company with their party princess.

"RIP Demi Moore is trending. This is ridiculous, she is still alive. She has almost as many horcruxes as Madonna." ~ Tweet from @Lord_Voldemort7 on the Twitter death hoax

TMZ was the first to break the story following Moore's recent emergency hospitalization in a Los Angeles treatment facility. She allegedly "smoked something," now said to be laughing gas, that is commonly known by the street name whip-its.

While her rep quickly dispelled any rumor regarding an overdose of nitrous oxide by Demi Moore, anorexia, or bout with extreme depression, an emergency 911 call recently released tells a different story.

In the audio of the 911 call, at least three people spoke to the operator about the condition of the troubled actress. An unknown male was present, as well as a close friend of the estranged bride to Ashton Kutcher. Moore's daughter, Rumer Willis, 23, was also present during the crisis.

From statements made by Willis and Demi's friend, it is clear that the actress was taking part in an illicit activity that produced a bad reaction. Thankfully, paramedics arrived in time. She was taken to a hospital, treated and later released – alive. In other words Demi Moore, at that moment, was not dead. But somehow Twitter killed off another celebrity.

And if that wasn't enough, while the actress was experiencing an emergency health crisis, her estranged husband Ashton Kutcher, was making it rain and partying up a storm in Brazil.

If the rumors are true that Demi Moore inhaled nitrous oxide guzzled down the illicit drink K2, or as her friend on the 911 call said, "smoked something;" hopefully the beloved star receives the proper help she needs as she undergoes her divorce from Ashton Kutcher.
