Singer/actress/"X Factor" judge Demi Lovato, 21, is now going to add "author" to her list of occupations. On Sept. 9, 2013, book publisher Feiwel and Friends (a children's book imprint of Macmillan) announced that it has signed Lovato to a multi-book deal.
The first book, which is due out in November 2013, is titled "Staying Strong: 365 Days a Year," and it will have numerous messages /tweets that Lovato posted on Twitter about her life.
Her memoir's title and publication date are to be announced. There's no word yet if Lovato will mention the alleged nude photos of her that are being shopped to tabloids. Lovato has not publicly commented on these photos or the allegation that she is bisexual and had an ongoing lesbian affair with someone who supposedly dumped Lovato because Lovato began dating actor Wilmer Valderrama again.
In her recent interviews, Lovato has declined to discuss her love life. She is reportedly involved again with actor Valderrama, who has been her on-again/off-again boyfriend since 2010. Lovato also had a brief romance with her "Camp Rock" co-star Joe Jonas in 2010.
Even though Lovato won't talk about her love life in recent interviews, she has been very open in telling the media and the public about her struggles with substance abuse, eating disorders and self-harming. She has been to rehab for these issues. Lovato has also publicly disclosed that she is bipolar.
In 2012, Lovato became a judge on "The X Factor" U.S., which is televised in the U.S. on Fox.
In 2013, Lovato is set to make guest appearances on Fox's "Glee." She will play Dani, a love interest to lesbian character Santana Lopez (played by Naya Rivera). Lovato is also reportedly going to have at least one duet with "Glee" guest star Adam Lambert.
