Demi Lovato is heading to "Glee" and will play Naya Rivera's lesbian love interest. Big Sean's girlfriend and collaboration partner, who just released her single, "Sorry," said she is bringing the "X-Factor" judge over to the dark side, citing an August 27 People celebrity news report.
At the 2013 MTV VMAs, Rivera dished on life outside of "Glee." While the world knows her as Santana on the popular television show, she wants fans to get to know her musical side.
According to Naya, the single will drop next week on iTunes and she is over the moon on the project. The album, which is still in the works, has not been given a release date.
As far as her bread and butter goes, three episodes are being taped of the "Glee" show and she is looking forward to having Demi Lovato star in several episodes as her budding love interest. Imagine that?
"I mean, she's playing my love interest, so I'm very, very excited about that. We get to sing a song together. It's gonna be good. I'm excited to work with her. We're bringing her to the dark side. Well, she comes in in a Beatles episode, so [we're singing] a Beatles song. I'm excited," Naya said at the VMAs.
And it appears Lovato is super-excited just as well about her upcoming role which allows her to get back into acting -- and of course, sharing her lovely vocals.
Monday, Demi shared her excitement on Twitter with her fans and "Glee" enthusiasts. Her tweet read:
I can't believe I'm going back to acting but the best part about it is that I get to act/sing with some of my really great friends.. 😊💗
