“The X Factor” finale is tonight and the rumors have already started flying on which judge might be leaving the show. According to People on Dec. 18, singer Demi Lovato will not be coming back to sit beside Simon Cowell at the judges' table next season.
Music has always been close to her heart and this is said to be the reason that the 21-year-old has decided to call it quits after two seasons. She has been one of the favorite and outspoken judges that the contestants try to impress each week. She also seems to get along with all of the judges, including Mr. Cowell.
Season three of the reality competition has seen a drop in ratings which has led to rumors that the show will not be back on Fox. However, Simon Cowell seems quite confident that it will not get canceled. Just like with “American Idol” and “Dancing with the Stars,” “The X Factor” will likely have some changes in scheduling and format to keep viewers happy and ratings up.
As for Demi Lovato, she has a headlining tour starting in February with an all-girl lineup featuring Little Mix, Cher Lloyd and Fifth Harmony. Before that happens, she said that she might decide to take a vacation from all of the craziness that surrounds her life right now. "The X Factor” schedule takes quite a bit of her time away from other things that she loves to do. She says that January will be her ‘me’ time.
Of course, the “Skyscraper” singer needs to finish up her current job as a judge with a two-night finale to determine who will take home the prize and title of the season three winner.
