Demi Lovato praised Ke$ha for going to rehab to treat her anorexia and bulimia, E! reported.

"I wish her the absolute best and I think she is doing a really great thing for herself," said Lovato, a recovering bulimic and anorexic. "You work so hard and you don't really get to treat the things that everyone has, like stress. You just kind of throw yourself into work."

Kesha entered rehab on Jan. 3 to treat her longtime anorexia and bulimia.

Ke$ha's mom, Pebe Sebert, said the years of cruel weight bullying and fat-shaming Kesha endured from her former manager, David Sonenberg, and music producer, Dr. Luke, drove the singer to go on starvation diets and binge and purge.

By the time Ke$ha entered treatment, she had lost a dramatic amount of weight and almost died after her blood pressure and sodium levels plummeted to dangerous levels.

Kesha is doing better now, and tweeted to fans that she'll be back soon. "I'll be back soon and better than ever!" she tweeted.

Lovato went in rehab in 2010 to treat to her anorexia, bulimia, and drug and alcohol addictions. Since the age of eight, Demi has struggled with anorexia and bulimia, and at one point starved herself down to 88 pounds.

She finally ended the vicious cycle of bingeing and purging after realizing she could kill herself from the disease. Looking back, Lovato said rehab really helped her straighten her life out.

"It taught me a lot and it helped me a ton," Demi said. "I wish Kesha the absolute best. She's a really sweet girl and she's going to be fine."

Lovato revealed how she overcame addiction and eating disorders in her book Staying Strong: 365 Days a Year.
