Demi Lovato continues to heal: Calls sober living facility home (Video)

Demi Lovato has graced television screens recently as a judge on the hit Fox television show “X Factor.” However, even though she appeared relaxed and at ease on the show she has been battling her own personal demons. According to reports by TMZ on Friday, Jan. 11 Demi Lovato has chosen to call a sober living facility home for over a year.

After Demi Lovato underwent rehab for treatment with anorexia, bulimia and cutting in 2010 she felt it was necessary to maintain control of her addiction to avoid any chance of slipping again.

In order to prevent any chance of relapse according to TMZ sources "X Factor" star Demi Lovato is currently living in a sober home facility in the Los Angeles area. The facility is equipped with staff that will continue to work with Demi Lovato to ensure she stays in control of her addiction.

Sober living homes are known for their rehabilitation treatments for alcohol, drug or issues such as anorexia, bulimia and cutting and more. The purpose of sober housing is to promote recovery by providing an environment which allows their residents the ability to develop individual recovery programs to eventually become self supporting.

The idea that Demi Lovato not only recognized that she needed the additional help but also sought to make sure she continued to surround herself with these resources is inspiring. Hopefully, Demi will continue down this positive path and ultimately beat her illness for good.
