On March 13, 2013, Demi Lovato was the key feature in an article shared by US Weekly magazine. The former Disney princess had just shared a new photo of herself with notably shorter hair on Twitter when she was interviewed by a mainstream media outlet. During the interview she confessed to having a strange new addiction to using eyebrow pencils (of all things). OMG also ran a special feature about her celebrity style shortly after the tweet.
US Weekly says:
Lovato addressed her frequent hair makeovers in a recent interview with The New York Times. "That was just like, 'What can I do next? I'm bored,'" she explained. The X Factor judge also admitted that she "became addicted to eyebrow pencils" in the last year.
Demi Lovato (a celebrity judge on Simon Cowell's "X Factor") has struggled with anxiety disorders and compulsion throughout most of her teenage years. She has publicly admitted to having a mild form of bi-polar disorder and to battling anorexia and bulimia.
Will she begin engaging in more extreme forms of body modification than drawing on her eyebrows and hair cutting? As many child stars snap under the pressure of constantly being in the public spotlight, fans of the teen scene celeb may be hoping she sticks with using cosmetics and hair dye to alter her appearance rather than following in the footsteps of so may other star celebs who go under the knife of a plastic surgeon when they get bored.
As for her new short hair look, despite her heavy eyebrows the photo comparison posted by the entertainment news magazine reveals Lovato looking fresh-faced but more sophisticated. She is 20 years old and her career path has left her poised to become an influential celebrity in the music world.
