After all the heartache that Demi Lovato went through with Joe Jonas and Ashley Greene, it seems that she has made peace with both of them.
Last night, Demi was spotted backstage talking to her ex, Joe Jonas, at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards. Although we don't know the contents of their conversation, their body language seemed relaxed and friendly.
Lovato also seems to have found an unlikely friend in Greene. Last night, Ashley came to her side when fans quipped that Demi had gained weight.
As the Twilight star tweets, "girl...your beautiful @ddlovato" Demi replies, "@AshleyMGreene that's why you're my friend.. Thank you girl."
This is quite a turnaround from last year. During her stay at the treatment center, some of Lovato's most ardent fans felt that Joe and Ashley had contributed to her breakdown.
In any case, it's nice to see the former Camp Rock star taking the high road by being friendly with them. Her career is bigger than ever, and she has the support of millions of fans worldwide. It's safe to say that she has moved on.
We also saw Selena Gomez with her ex, Taylor Lautner at the VMAs, another example of exes who managed to remain on good terms.
