Fans of Demi Lovato and the Jonas Brothers attending the premiere of Disney's Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam at New York's Alice Tully Hall Wednesday night got a surprise -- an impromptu concert.

According to People, Lovato and the Jonas Brothers took the stage in front of scores of shrieking tween and teen girls, with Joe Jonas and Lovato singing the duet, "Wouldn't Change a Thing," a romantic number from the Camp Rock 2 soundtrack.

The magazine talked to Lovato on the red carpet, where she expressed that her and Joe will "be best friends for a long time" despite their romantic breakup last May.

She also thought it was fantastic that Joe stuck up for her and actually got his lawyers involved when a blogger wrote untrue information about him and Lovato, saying:

"All three of [the Jonas Brothers] will defend me, because they're my brothers, they have my back. And I'll defend them any day, too."

Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam premieres September 3 at 8/7c on the Disney Channel.
