DeMarcus Ware injured neck in 4th quarter

Dallas Cowboys linebacker DeMarcus Ware left tonight's game with 4 minutes left to play after Redskins running back smalled his leg into Ware's neck.

Ware was on the ground for a few minutes in obvious pain. It is not clear if he was knocked out. He walked off the field on his own. Victor Butler filled in for Ware.

Ware had injured his neck last year and he missed one game with the injury.

There are no reports yet on the seriousness of the injury.

There may be some cause for concern. This is the third time he has injured his neck in the last 17 games. Remember one of them is when he surprised the New Orleans Saints and played last season. Afterward Drew Brees said they were convinced he was not going to play and failed to adjust their scheme for Demarcus..

I realize that these articles are written by 'sports writers' as opposed to journalists. But "smalled"? To my knowledge, "small" can not be used as a verb.

I agree that "small" can not be used as a verb. More importantly, Ware did not "miss one game last year" as the article claims. He did PART of the New Orleans game, but he played in all 16 regular season games.
