Delta adds on non stop service to Mexico

In an attempt to move into a market that is undergoing a period of instability, Delta Airlines has recently announced plans to fly non stop from Port Columbus Airport in Columbus OH to Cancun.

Begninning February 19th 2011, Delta Air Lines will offer weekend flights from Port Columbus to the Mexican resort destination of Cancun. Flights to Cancun will depart on Saturday's at 7am, with return non stop service operating on Sunday, with a 10:35am departure. This service will only run seasonally through August 2011. Delta currently services Cancun Mexico from Columbus, with connections via Cincinnati and Atlanta. Since this servce is only seasonal, with one flight per day each direction, travelers should be prepared for interruptions to their plans should a flight cancel.

Although pricing has not yet been announced, tickets will go on sale starting today on Delta's website
as well as other websites and Travel Agencies that sell Delta tickets.
