Tart Macintosh or Macoun apples from are the best apples for dipping in this sweet caramel apple dip. If you cannot find Macintosh or Macoun apples you can use Granny Smith apples.

Caramel apple dip recipe

Ingredients for caramel apple dip
1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
chopped nuts
macintosh, macoun or Granny apple slices, peeled or unpeeled

How to make caramel apple dip:
Remove label from can of sweetened condensed milk. Boil the UNOPENED can for 3 hours, adding water to keep submerged throughout. Let cool completely and refrigerate for 24 hours.

Open both ends of can, push the caramel through into a serving dish. Remove both ends from caramel. Sprinkle with chopped nuts. Serve with slices of tart apple.
