The Delaware State Sportsmen’s Association, 9-12 Delaware Patriots, and the forums on Delaware Open Carry and Delaware Concealed Carry are reporting that a Second Amendment Rally will be held on Sunday, January 20, 2013 at the Modern Maturity Center in Dover. The doors open at 12:00 noon, and the rally is scheduled to run from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. The event is free to attend, and the organizers are billing it as a peaceful rally to organize a call to action against upcoming state and federal legislation that will erode firearms rights for Delaware citizens.
The keynote speaker for the event is NRA President David Keene, and the Emcee of the event is former NRA President John Sigler. The 9-12 Delaware Patriots are asking their members to wear their “9-12 DePat” shirts, and firearms owners who wish to carry at the event are reminded that carrying in Dover requires a valid Delaware CCDW.
The Modern Maturity Center is located at 1121 Forrest Avenue in Dover. Seating for the event is limited to 800 people.
