Each month, Houston’s Pint Jockeys schedule a tasting event at Del Papa Distribution Center and the month of March, 2013 continues this tradition. This time around, Del Papa will be serving a brand of beer that only recently gained distribution into the Houston area. Here is some background information on the event:

When: Thursday, March 21, 2013 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Why: To socialize and drink free beer
This month’s spotlight shines on Goose Island Brewing, a Chicago- based brewing operation that was taken over by Anheuser- Busch InBev and now enjoys nationwide distribution for the first time. The Goose Island products ready for tapping and tasting on March 21 include:
- 312 Urban Wheat
- Honker’s Ale
- India Pale Ale
- Summertime
- Sofie
- Matilda
Del Papa Distributing now handles Goose Island products and is ready to introduce Goose Island products to new fans across the Houston area. Del Papa has already begun delivery to local stores, but this tasting event presents a good opportunity to sample the craft beer that made Chicago famous and discover which products are compatible to one’s individual taste preferences.
As always, this monthly event is offered free to the public to all individuals age 21 and older with a valid ID. Come on down to Texas City on Thursday and discover the beer of Goose Island Brewing. No reservation is necessary- just arrive as early as possible, ready to drink in the company of fellow craft beer lovers.
