The New York Post is reporting today that a Queens man who stabbed his wife and daughters to death over a Facebook photo has been officially indicted on three counts of first-degree murder. Miguel Miejia-Ramos, 28, who was captured before crossing the Mexican border in January, appeared in court today in Queens for the proceedings.

May 30

Guatemala native Deisy Garcia makes an official complaint about her abusive husband to police. She tells them in Spanish that her husband Miguel had beaten her and threatened to kill her. The complaint is never translated to English.

Sunday, January 19

6:30 p.m.

According to details in the prosecutor's criminal complaint, illegal immigrant/undocumented worker Miguel Mejia-Ramos drinks beer with his coworkers after work.

11:00 p.m.

Ramos returns home and checks Deisy Garcia's cell phone and Facebook page, where he finds a photo of Deisy with another man, according to the New York Times.

Ramos then stabs Garia with a knife. Unable to take the girls with him because he doesn't have car seats, he kisses the girls and stabs them to death. He leaves the knives close to the body and disappears.

The bodies of the woman and her two small children are found stabbed to death in their Jamaica, NY., apartment. Police arrive at the scene to find 21-year-old Deisy Garcia and her two toddler daughters Daniela Mejia, 2, and Yaslin Mejia, 1.

Monday, January 20

NYPD is looking for the husband of Deisy Garcia for questioning regarding the murder of his wife. Police say they are actively looking for Miguel Mejia-Ramos, 28. It is suspected that he may have fled to Mexico.

Miguel Mejia-Ramos is on the run from the police. He lives by his wits and uses the information that he has learned from his favorite show "I Almost Got Away With It," which airs on Investigation Discovery Espanol.

An autopsy reports confirms the young Latina mother and her two daughters were stabbed to death multiple times with a knife at their home on Sutphin Boulevard. The time of death is estimated to be around 5 p.m.

Police are still unclear on a motive for the killings.

Tuesday, January 21

Miguel Mejia-Ramos is captured in Texas. According to police Ramos had plans to escape to his home in Mexico. New York City police tracked Miguel Mejia Ramos through cell phone records.

He is arrested and charged with first-degree murder. He is being held without bail.

Police say the investigation revealed that Ramos stabbed his wife and kids to death because he was angry about some questionable Facebook photos that had been posted.

January 24

Miguel Mejia-Ramos is arraigned in court.

January 29

Family and friends attend funeral services for the three victims.

February

The Hispanic community is outraged that a woman's domestic violence complaint was never handled because it was never translated into English.

March 20

Miguel Mejia-Ramos is officially indicted on three counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of his wife and two daughters, according to the New York Post. The family of Deisy Garcia is also in court.
