Deion Sanders wins custody: Pilar Sanders to appeal custody verdict (Video)

Deion Sanders has scored another victory, but this time it is off the field. According to a March 12 TMZ report, the sports star has been awarded primary custody of his three children. Sanders will reportedly maintain physical and legal custody over the two sons he has with estranged wife Pilar Sanders. As far as their nine-year-old daughter is concerned, however, the couple will share physical and legal custody, according to TMZ.

The New York Post reports that Sanders, in his sole right, will determine where the children will live, according to a Collin County Texas jury. He will also make all decisions when it comes to health, education and extracurricular activities.

The jury’s decision apparently comes as a shock to his Pilar, who according to DallasNews.com, is “flabbergasted.” “If that’s not one-sided, you have to be blind, dumb, crazy and stupid,” Pilar said of the decision. “Unfortunately, my children will suffer, but I raised them well enough to understand what’s what.”

A gleeful Deion stated, “I’m thankful; I’m elated. In any war, there will be casualties, but I didn’t want the casualties in this case to be my kids.”

Pilar’s divorce attorney Larry Friedman, said in his closing statement, “To Mr. Sanders, life is a game and he has to win every time. Winning is everything to him, even if the collateral damage is their kids.”

Friedman plans to appeal on behalf of his client.
