Deion Sanders wins custody of children, thanks God (Photos)

Deion "Prime Time" Sanders, NFL Hall-of-Famer, was granted custody of his children, in a jury trial, shared with his estranged wife Pilar Sanders, according to TMZ, March 12, 2013.

The former football player was given sole custody of their 13 and 11-year-old sons, while he will share custody of their 9-year-old daughter with Pilar. A reported 11 of 12 jurors ruled in favor of the NFL Hall of Famer receiving custody of the children.

Deion believes that Pilar’s whole incentive is money driven. "I think the whole reason we're here is not about kids, it's about money. Let's call it what it is," said Sanders in a CBS 11 report. "They refuted the pre-nuptial. We beat them in court regarding the children and we're back. We'll be back again [for] something else."

Sanders gave thanks to God thru his Twitter account following the verdict. "Thank all of you whom prayed for me and my children… "Never doubt God! Truth."

A representative for Pilar reportedly told Rumor Fix that she planned to appeal the jury's decision. This does not surprise us.

Earlier during the custody battle, Sanders spoke of Pilar's issues. Last year, Pilar was booked at the county jail for assaulting the football player at the Sanders' estate.

Even though the custody battle is over, divorce issues still loom over the two. Let’s hope the two can find a happy medium for the sake of the children, and soon.
