Defining Moment of the 2011 Tour de France

COL DU GALIBIER, France – In the 18th stage of the Tour de France, Leopard Trek rider Andy Schleck threw caution to the wind, flying free of the main field with almost fourty miles of alpine riding left to go. Determination carried him across the finish line in first place on the stage and into second place overall. Schleck’s daring attack could prove to be the defining moment of the 2011 Tour de France.

Versus, who provides television coverage of the Tour De France in the United States, is asking viewers to submit their own defining moments (stories of overcoming odds or coming just short) to the Versus Cycling Facebook page. The winner will receive a $3,000 bicycle from Cannondale. Entries must be submitted by July 24th in line with the end of the Tour.

Enter your story at the Versus Cycling Facebook page and tune in the Versus for the exciting conclusion of the race. If Andy Schleck is allowed to participate, he could win a free bike in pursuit of a Tour de France victory.
