'Defiance' players can earn in-game benefits with Ark Hunter rewards (Photos)

Savvy players have seen several six-digit codes popping up "Defiance" videos, websites, and even advertisements. Until today, the game's developer, Trion Worlds, simply told players that the codes were important. In an official post on the "Defiance" website, Trion Worlds revealed that these codes were part of the Ark Hunter Rewards program.

This system lets players enter these hidden codes to level up and earn rewards for the game before it release. For example, entering one code will level the player up to level one in the program and unlock two more inventory slots in the game.

Players can access their Trion Worlds accounts and start entering codes into their My Ego right now. These codes can be found in official "Defiance" videos, official websites, and more. For those looking to access the codes with the leg work, check out this forum post for more information. The post includes a handy Google Document (by user UberNinja) of the codes currently confirmed by a number of players.

"Defiance" will release this April. Players can pre-order it now for bonus items. The game will utilize the buy-to-play model where players purchase the client but no subscription is required to play.
