'Deer Hunter 2014' is one dimensional

"Deer Hunter 2014" is exactly what the name says. You are a hunter, taking to the woods in pursuit of game.

Outside of the graphics, which are pretty good but not as good as they could be, there are not many pros to this game.

You are given a variety of missions but this being a hunting game, variety is not even really the word to use. Each mission consists of you hunting some animal be it a deer, wolf, or bird. What changes is how you are to take down your prey. Some missions will require a head shot while some will call for a lung shot. Some of the missions can get pretty challenging but not enough to keep the players interest.

Completing each mission will reward you with money which you can use to buy and upgrade your weapons. This is necessary as some objectives require specific rifles and shotguns.

The problem with "Deer Hunter 2014" is that it is very one dimensional. This is not surprising. The game becomes very boring very fast.

This is not a game for non-hunters. Those of you with no interest in real life hunting will have no interest in virtual hunting. Also, for all you animal lovers out there this is not the game for you. The kills are graphically depicted. The bullet slows down to make sure the player sees the full impact and blood splatter. There is also an infrared mode which has to be used when requiring a lung shot for example. There is something very uncomfortable about this.

If you enjoy hunting then "Deer Hunter 2014" is worth checking out. Otherwise you will probably want to bypass this game and find something more suitable.
