A Capcom spokesperson from the official Japanese Twitter page of “Deep Down” has sent out several messages to fans. According to a report from Dual Shockers on Dec. 31, the representative talked a little bit about the past year.
“Deep Down” was first announced in early 2013 as part of the Playstation Meeting conference for the PS4. It was the first video game shown for the Panta Rhe, a next-generation graphics engine from Capcom.
Despite the high-profile unveiling, the action role-playing title was not shown again to the public until the Tokyo Game Show in Sept. of last year. The spokesperson disclosed that “Deep Down” was able to take home the Future Division Japan Game Award at the event. There’s only a little bit until this year ends. Deep Down was announced at the PlayStation Meeting 2013, it was playable at the Tokyo Game Show 2013, where it managed to get a Future Division Japan Game Award.
The spokesperson went on to thank fans for their support on the project, promising that the development team will be working hard in order to release the software product as quickly as possible. You can find the statement below:

Even with the latest updates, Capcom has still not yet provided a more concrete release date on “Deep Down.” The company did confirm that an online multiplayer beta should be available near the Japanese launch of the PS4, which is set on Feb. 22.
