2013 may be the year of the emerald , but we foresee a sunnier hue on the horizon. Benjamin Moore named lemon sorbet as their color of the year and I could think of no better color for spring. In fact, I predict that it will make a cameo during the summer months as it’s warm, but equipped with a cooling ability.
Yellow over the years has become a go-to color for design lovers as it marries beautifully with gray, taupe and white. Lemon sorbet also looks dreamy against pastels. Gone are the days when we loathed seeing yellow around our home (use to have a “grandma effect”). It’s jovial, lightweight and here to stay.
This is a great color for those who want a little optimism in their interiors while feeling relaxed.
