Decorate your tree with festive Chicago Christmas ornaments

Love Christmas ornaments? Love Chicago? Jan and Grazyna Krynski combine both of those passions in their unique Chicago-themed Christmas ornments that you can purchase at Chicago's Christkindlmarket opening Thursday, November 23 at Daley Plaza.

The Krynskis are owners of DOMitp (Dom meaning "house" and itp meaning "etc" in Polish), a European housewares shop that the immigrant couple opened in Chicago in 1990.

The Krynskis created the store after a trip home to Poland opened their eyes to the artistic beauty and affordability of  handmade Polish products like glass, porcelain and ornaments. They began to import these products to their store, and also enlisted local craftsmen to create one-of-a-kind specialty items in-house. Today, more than 20 years later, DOMitp has grown to four locations across Chicago and has an extensive Website.

Among the Krynski's offerings are handmade holiday ornaments that celebrate their love of the city of Chicago. These one-of-a-kind keepsakes are made in-house by the family and featuring beautiful Chicago landmarks including Millennium Park, Water Tower, Cellular and Wrigley Field, and the Chicago Municipal Flag.

The specialty ornaments have become such a hit among Chicagoans that the line was expanded for the 2011 holiday season.
