Who doesn't love a great snack hack?! If you don't know what a snack hack is, it's all about taking your favorite foods and reinventing and remixing them into something that's just as delicious if not more. Oreo, the world's favorite cookie (who just happened to celebrate its 102nd birthday last month) is all about remixing itself into something new. Just look how many different Oreo cookies are on the shelf. Fruit Punch Oreos anyone?
Oreo recently released a new web series that takes LA celebrity chefs and asked them to 'snack hack' the Oreo and create new Oreo inspired snacks.Starring such top celebrity chefs like Michael Voltaggio of Ink Restaurant, Roy Choi of the Kogi Food Truck empire and young gun Nguyen Tran of the underground sensation Starry Kitchen, each took the challenge to create his own four-step easy ‘Snack Hack’. It's all about the deconstructive of the Oreo with these chefs and remixing them it into fabulous new snack recipes that will cause a sensation at your next get together. Serve up some Oreo crusted chicken tenders and Oreo tortilla chips as an appetizer or Oreo and cherry soda bread pudding for dessert.
Sounds over the top delicious doesn’t it? Just check out the video attached to learn more and to get their recipes. The video attached includes Chef Michel Voltaggio of Ink Restaurant and his snack hack of Oreo tortilla chips and strawberry salsa with a side of lemonade topped off with what else? A Golden Oreo!
