Deception actor comes out: Victor Garber reveals he’s gay

A Deception actor is coming out of the closet on Tuesday, as the great Victor Garber is confirming that he’s gay. Garber, who currently stars on “Deception” but is known for a wide variety of roles on TV and film, is making this reveal just days after Jodie Foster’s impactful speech at the Golden Globe Awards.

In a new article posted on Greg in Hollywood, Greg Hernandez talks about an unexpected encounter with Garber in which he asks him if he has a male partner (due to the text that’s presently on Victor’s Wikipedia page):

‘I don’t really talk about it but everybody knows,” Greg says Victor replied in response to his question.

Greg was referencing a man named Rainer Andreesen, who’s listed on Garber’s Wiki page as his partner.

“He’s going to be out here with me for the SAG Awards,” Garber later tells Hernandez.

So while Garber has not made an official declaration that he’s gay, or sort of implied it without necessarily confirming it like Jodie Foster did at the Golden Globe Awards, it appears the Deception actor has now problem coming out and staking claim to his relationship with Rainer.

Along with “Deception,” Garber has also starred in “Alias” and “Argo.”
