December to Remember, Day 7: Jeremy McComb virtual tour online Wednesday night

On Wednesday, December 7, singer-songwriter Jeremy McComb will perform in your city, no matter where you are, thanks to stageit.com and his Almost Like A Real Tour, tour. Launched in 2010, stageit.com offers live streamed exclusive concerts for the fans for a minimal fee. When I say minimal, I mean it. The site works on a point system, called notes. Users can purchase a block of ten notes for $1 each. To set up your FREE account, a minimum of 50 notes is required for a whopping $5.

In Jeremy's case, his virtual concert ticket is $3. You can't even get a bottle of water at a concert for that! In addition to the way-cheap ticket price, fans have the opportunity to tip the musicians, but instead of a tip jar on the edge of the stage, you simply click the tip icon on their artist page on stageit.com. Another interesting aspect of stageit.com is that the performances aren't archived. Just like pre-cell-phone-camera days, once the show is over, it's over. Knowing you can't see it anywhere else, or at a later date, gives fans an exclusive, available only to them by way of stageit.

McComb got his start in the biz as a tour manager for country comedian Larry the Cable Guy.  His 2008 Parallel/New Revolution Records premiere CD My Side of Town featured the debut single Wagon Wheel. Also on the project, This Town Needs A Bar, a song Jeremy first recorded for the soundtrack of his pal Larry the Cable Guy's 2006 movie, Larry the Cable Guy: Health Inspector. This Town Needs a Bar was co-written by then-future Taylor Swift-collaborating songwriter, Liz Rose (Tim McGraw,Teardrops on My Guitar, White Horse, You Belong to Me, Fearless) and Jimmy Yeary of Shanandoah-fame, who has written songs for everyone from Joe Diffie to Rascal Flatts. McComb's third single from his 2008 debut became his most popular when Cold debuted at #58 on the Billboard Country Chart

Jeremy's latest CD, Leap and the Net Will Appear was released in October of this year. During his stageit.com concert, he's expected to perform tracks from his latest project, including the singles Cherry Chapstick and 5 to Midnight, as well as the aforementioned Cold and other earlier tunes.

Jeremy is in good company with his one-one-of-a-kind stageit performance. Since going live, online, stageit.com has hosted virtual concerts by Chris Young, Pain White T's, Jake Owen, Korn, Debbie Gibson, Big Kenny and many others.
