December donations to Paws in Need will be doubled by anonymous donor

As of this month PAWS IN NEED is now a 501(c)3 tax-exempt nonprofit.

This is good news for Tri-Valley area pet owners who need assistance for both Spay and Neuter surgeries, and for one-time urgent necessary veterinary care.

Expanded availability of financial assistance for Spay and Neuter surgeries is a great service to the Tri-Valley community because it is one more step in reducing the number of animals that end up in local shelters.

One-time emergency veterinary care is also a great service, especially if it means life or death for an animal whose human companion can’t afford sudden and tragically expensive care.

PIN is now available for both assistance to Tri-Valley residents and for donations. For their kick-off this month, there is an anonymous donor willing to match any donation up to $10,000 received by Dec. 31st, so if you are able to give this month, your donation goes twice as far.

Paws in Need also fundraises throughout the year, currently running the Animal Lover’s Boutique at the Feline Medical Center, 3160 Santa Rita Road in Pleasanton. Other upcoming events in the New Year include a Valentine Crab Feed (Sat., Feb 8th) and a Yard Sale at Milfleur (Sat., May 3rd).
