Please see the slideshow below to see if you have room in your home and heart for a new family member.
Dallas Adoptable Animals
Shadow is a 3-year-old Shepherd mix. Shadow is a very sweet and docile girl who gets along well with children and is housetrained. She recently was treated for heartworms, and she is still recovering, so she needs a nice, quiet place to rest for the next few weeks until she is feeling 100% herself. Shadow was surrendered to the SPCA of Texas on November 6 because her family had too many animals. In her previous home, she got along well with other dogs, but she would like to meet the whole family (including other pets) before going home to her new family, just to make sure everyone gets along. Shadow is a beautiful, loving girl who will be a wonderful pet for a lucky family. Come see her today! #11828284
Duckie is a a 7-month-old, Domestic Shorthair with a beautiful, solid, black coat. He was surrendered to the SPCA of Texas on October 23 because his previous owners had too many animals, so he had to leave his family. Duckie was a little nervous and unsure of his surroundings when he first came to the SPCA of Texas. But after a little time, he has come out of his shell, and now, he just can't get enough lovin' and attention. He's a playful kitten who loves to purrr and let you know, he really enjoys being scratched behind the ears. He gets along with older children, but he may be best as the only cat. Duckie has gotten used to being "top cat" around here, and well, he kind of likes it! He is ready to find his new loving family, and he can't think of a better time than now. Come see him soon at the Greenville Avenue Petsmart in Dallas. #11739455
Ginger is a 2-year-old Shepherd mix who is looking for a loving, forever home who will be as loyal to her as she is to them. You see, Ginger has been adopted and returned to the SPCA of Texas twice, for just being herself, and she is looking for a family who will love her just the way she is. Ginger is an active pup who would be a great running or walking partner. She loves to play outside, and gets along well with older children and most dogs. She is also partly housetrained, but with your love and positive reinforcement, she can master that very quickly. She is very smart, and already crate trained and leash trained! Ginger is looking for a lasting relationship and a home for the holidays. Come see her today! #08996148
Christy is an adorable 2-month-old Shepherd and Rottie mix. She is extremely mellow and laidback for a puppy, but she needs a family who will be patient and loving to teach her all the tricks she needs to know to grow up and become a big, beautiful, obedient girl. Christy came in with her brother cliff, and they are both hoping to find loving homes this holiday season. Christy was transferred to the SPCA of Texas from another shelter on November 29, and she will be waiting at NorthPark Center for her new family to come take her home. #11953237
Sam is an 11-month-old Domestic Shorthair kitten with a beautiful, black, orange and white calico fur coat. She was transferred to the SPCA of Texas on October 25 from another shelter for a second chance on finding a loving, forever home! Sam is very playful and will entertain you with her fun games all day long. She is allergic to plastic, so for her own safety, she needs to be fed from stainless steel or ceramic bowls. Sam will be waiting for her new family at the Greenville Avenue Petsmart in Dallas beginning Tuesday, November 11, 2010. More than anything, this sweet kitten wants a home for the holidays. Come visit her soon! #11747729

Benny is a 6-year-old, neutered, male Beagle with a short, smooth, black, tan and white colored coat. He has big, beautiful, brown eyes and big, floppy ears too. Benny is a bit overweight at the moment, weighing 32.5 pounds, but he loves to play fetch, and he will bring the ball to you to tell you that it`s time to play! He walks well on a leash, and he is good with children, cats and other dogs. Unfortunately his previous owner moved and couldn`t take him or his best friend Clyde along. Zoe is a beautiful, female, 6-year-old Siamese mix who has already been spayed, and weighs about 6 pounds. She's a very petite girl. Zoe has lovely, bright, blue eyes and a shorthaired, silky coat with light tabby markings. She is very shy and scared of loud noises, although she is fine around dogs but prefers a home without other cats. Once she gets to know you, she is extremely affectionate, and she likes to sit quietly and watch the activities of the people around her. With some encouragement and TLC, she wil come out of her shell and warm up quickly. Zoe was surrendered to the SPCA of Texas on October 22, and she's also a VIP (Very Important Pet) because she's been waiting for her new, loving family for more than 30 days, and she has a special adoption price of $50! #11734210
Milagro is a two-year-old, Hound mix with who is extremely loving, but a little timid at first. She may look big and strong, but she's as docile as a lamb, and will just melt as soon as you come near her. Milagro was rescued from inhumane conditions by the SPCA of Texas on September 21 and she's hoping to find a loving home soon. When you first walk by her, she may look a little reserved on her bed, but that is just because all her friends are so noisy in here. As soon as you take her outside, she's like a whole new dog. She loves to run and play with her doggie friends and go on walks outside with her people friends. And she also gets along with children very well. Because of her past, it may take her some time to warm up, but treats always help, and the soft sound of your voice. Please come see Milagro, and take her home today! Milagro is also a V.I.P. (Very Important Pet) because she's been waiting for her new, loving family for more than 30 days, and she has a special adoption price of $50! #11500337
King George is a majestic, Domestic Shorthair kitty with a striking black and brown tabby coat. He's a little shy when you first meet him, but he is just getting used to his surroundings. He is very sweet and likes to be scratched behind the ears. His owner surrendered him on September 25 because they were moving. George is five years old, so I’m well adjusted and litter trained. He's good with other cats and good with kids. Come and say hello to him today, he might be your next lap cat! He's also a V.I.P. (Very Important Pet) because he has been waiting for his new, loving family for more than 30 days, and he has a special adoption price of $50! #7416735
Sonny, is the happiest boy you will ever meet! He's a 2-year-old, Pit Bull Terrier mix who is housebroken, crate-trained and obedience trained. What a good boy he is! And that`s not all, he also loves kids, cats and other dogs. I guess you could say he's a social butterfly. He is one silly, goofy, good-natured boy who enjoys wrapping his arms around you and giving you a good hug. He's also a remarkable athlete who can jump a six foot fence if left unattended, so he needs a really really high fence and adult supervision when he is playing in the backyard. Sonny was surrendered to the SPCA of Texas on October 21 due to the cost of pet maintenance. But he can assure you, with all his fine qualities, he's worth every penny! Come see him today at the SPCA of Texas! Sonny is also a V.I.P. (Very Important Pet) because he's been waiting for his new home for more than 30 days, and he has a special adoption price of $50! #11727506
Looking for a miracle kitty to keep you company? Well come say hello to Betsy! She's a Domestic Shorthair tortoiseshell kitty. Her owner surrendered her on July 3 because they weren’t able to care for her properly. She was nursing kittens and in need of some tender love and care, and flea medicine. After the folks at the SPCA of Texas cared for her, she's now the gorgeous, healthy, 2-year-old you see in the photo. She's a true miracle case, and she's looking for a new home with a caring family. You will know how very sweet she is by her loud purr when you give her attention. If Betsy seems like the kitty for you, please come visit her today. She's also a V.I.P. (Very Important Pet) because she's been waiting for her new home for more than 30 days, and she has a special adoption price of $50! #10885072
