On December 29, Albuquerque’s own Launchpad hosts Battle of the Bands, featuring Ancient Truth, December Deceive, Incide, 3 Weeks Later, Lights on for Safety, Matt Morgan, Genocide, So it Begins, The Damion Stalker Project, and GOO-NEE-NEES. Doors for this 13+ show are scheduled to open at 4 p.m., with the first band taking the stage at 4:15 p.m. Entry is $8 in advance and $10 at the door, but prices are subject to change at the door.

Around since 1997, Albuquerque’s Launchpad has played host to bands of numerous genres, including punk, indie rock, and metal. The Launchpad is located on 618 Central Avenue Southwest, which is between 6th and 7th streets.
