December 22: Launchpad Hosts The Zone Xmas Party

On December 22, Albuquerque’s own Launchpad [http://launchpadrocks.com/] hosts The Zone Xmas Party, which features the following bands: Echoes of Fallen, Rebilt, Torture Victim, Dope Riddle, and Jah Branch. Doors for this 21+ show open at 8:00 pm, with the first band taking the stage at 9:00 pm. Entry is only $7.

Hailing from Belen and Albuquerque, Echoes of Fallen[http://www.myspace.com/echoesoffallen] play a combination of ripping death metal and punishing grindcore. The band’s self-titled demo [http://www.mediafire.com/?hnlzuymzyq0] was released in 2007.

Officially together since April 2000, Albuquerque’s Rebilt[http://www.myspace.com/rebilt505] are a native punk-rock band who live, practice, work, play, and breathe their music. Band influences include Bad Religion, Social Distortion, and Slayer.

Hailing from Albuquerque, Torture Victim[http://www.myspace.com/torturevictim] describe themselves as follows: “An in-your-face extreme-metal assault.” The band has been working on a new CD and expects to release it soon.

Hailing from Albuquerque, Dope Riddle[http://www.myspace.com/doperiddleband] play an eclectic but searing combination of funk, hardcore, and thrash metal. The band includes among their influences bands such as Tech 9, Suicidal Tendencies, and Slayer.

Hailing from Albuquerque Jah Branch [http://www.reverbnation.com/jahbranch] play a combination of reggae and ska.

Around since 1997, Albuquerque’s Launchpad [http://launchpadrocks.com/] has played host to bands of numerous genres, including punk, indie rock, and metal. The Launchpad is located on 618 Central Avenue Southwest, which is between 6th and 7th streets.
