On Dec. 7, Internationally renowned jeweler Verdura held a holiday fete at their exclusive Fifth Avenue Atelier Saturday, turning their showroom into a winter wonderland for celebrity moms and their posh tots. VIP's included Kelly Rutherford, June Ambrose, Allen Grubman, Patrick McDonald and Jennifer Creel. Atlanta-based philanthropist and author Cathleen Smith Bresciani hosted the fabulous soirée while launching her new book Sassafrass Jones and Search for a Forever Home. It was a magical afternoon of holiday delights, a private viewing of the Verdura Holiday collection, readings of the book by B-52's Fred Schneider and a special appearance by Pekingenese Maurice "Sassafrasso Jones." This must-have holiday book tells the story about The Little Dog with the Cat Eyed Glasses. Proceeds of the book will benefit The Humane Society of New York.

On Dec. 12, iconic New York specialty emporium COSMOS celebrated the opening of its new location at 20 West 36th Street with an event hosted by Jennifer Creel and Kelly Rutherford. The new location of the flagship store marks the expansion of COSMOS - the longtime "go to" resource for shoppers who appreciate the carefully curated luxury merchandise and white glove service.

On Dec. 13 the fashion world came together to kickoff the holidays and celebrate the launch of Sophie Young's new brand InSepia Flash Fashion and inSepia.com. Guests came together at new Meatpacking hot spot Bar Nana where the waitstaff wore original designs by Olivier Theyskens. There was a gallery of images from the site on display, InSepia Flash Fashion for everyone to take home with them, oysters, open bar and music by DJ Leslie Kirchhoff.

On Dec. 14, Julie Macklowe's "Birthday Riot" celebrated both her birthday and vbeauté's second anniversary. Guests braved the snowstorm to make it to Avenue, where Belvedere and Glenmorangie kept everyone in high spirits with Belvedere "V-tinis" and a fully stocked Glenmorangie "Scotch Lounge," where guests enjoyed Glenmorangie 18 Years Old. The evening featured amazing entertainment that included a contortionist, cage dancers and of course…a surprise musical performance by rising UK star, Jetta – one of Julie's favorite new artists – who flew in from the UK for the birthday bash! The Belvedere and Glenmorangie stocked bars stayed busy, Dom Perignon flowed, and guests nibbled on gluten-free purple glitter cupcakes by Simply Caro.
