Visionary Cheryl Todmann and Celebrity Fashion Stylist Spry Lee Scott stood in the gap for our children and met a need through their respective missions to provide dance scholarships in low-income communities and baby food for families affected by Hurricane Sandy.

CEO and founder of “The Stars of New York Dance” presented her 3rd annual dance competition fundraiser on December 18, 2012. The 2012 production partnered community leaders with professional dance artists, and honored the works of Rev. Dr. Johnny Ray Youngblood, Executive Pastor of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Brooklyn, NY.

Heating up the floor with an old school Hip Hop routine, the winning couple of the 2012 dance competition was Kevin S. Parker, 21st District Brooklyn NY State Senator and Dancer Zakiya M. Harris, Asase Yaa African American Dance Theater. This dancing duo won $5000 in scholarship funds, providing five or more children from low-income New York City communities with a free or subsidized year of high-quality dance education and training at Asase Yaa.

Founder and CEO of Milado, a total entertainment development company, was inspired to rally communities to collect “Ten Thousand Jars" of baby food for Sandy Relief victims. Although the target goal wasn’t reached, on December 13, 2012, Spry and campaign crew delivered an impressive 7014 jars of baby food to the National Grid tent in Far Rockaway and met the UK company president.

In reference to not collecting the desired ten thousand, Rev. Melvin W. Anderson said, “It was never about the ten thousand …. No my beloved Cousin, this was about you and God using you as a vessel to teach us a lesson and give us a message from on high about how God still gives visions, missions, dreams that can move others to beyond our own expectations.”

Celebrity Fashion Stylist Spry has also appeared on season 3 of MTV’s Run’s House, Access Hollywood, BET Style, and You Hear It First (MTV). His latest project, "Hanging With Spry," can be seen on Youtube.
