On December 20, Albuquerque’s own Launchpad hosts Anti Christ Mas, featuring Laughing Dog, Largactyl, Burns Like Hell, and Sorry Guero. Doors for this 21+ show are scheduled to open at 8 p.m., with the first band taking the stage at 9 p.m.

Formed in the mid-1990s, Albuquerque’s Laughing Dog play a combination of grindcore and straight-on punk that they like to call “old town grind.” The band’s motto says it all: “Let the music speak.”

Largactyl features members of Logical Nonsense and Santa Fe’s Grimple.

Colorado’s Burns Like Hell features members of Fanatics.

According to the band, Sorry Guero is what happens when three Mexicans jam with a cowboy. The band describes its sound as American death groove.

Around since 1997, Albuquerque’s Launchpad has played host to bands of numerous genres, including punk, indie rock, and metal. The Launchpad is located on 618 Central Avenue Southwest, which is between 6th and 7th streets.
