On December 18, Albuquerque’s own Launchpad hosts NMDM’s (New Mexico Death Metal’s) First Annual Brutal Christmas Drive, which features the following killer lineup: End to End, Left to Rot, Doomed to Exist, Lamincetomy, Defleshment, Deforme, and The Conjuring. Doors for this 21+ show are scheduled to open at 7 p.m., with the first band taking the stage at 8 p.m. Entry is no less than 3 canned or nonperishable food items. If this is not possible, a minimum donation of $5 will be accepted (donations will be used to purchase necessary donation items, such as food, coats, and blankets).

Formed in 2004, Left to Rot hail from Laguna, New Mexico. These dudes are known for their dense guitar rhythms, blast beats, and harsh vocals. The band’s debut EP is titled Bathe in Blood, which they followed up with the full-length studio CD Crown of Deception.
Albuquerque’s Doomed to Exist play a twisted combination of punk rock, grindcore, and thrash metal. As the band says: “Viva la Grimecore!”
Hailing from Albuquerque, Laminectomy play black metal. According to the band, they write “about real things that are happening in the world, [such as] disasters and government conspiracy theories.”
Hailing from the Laguna Pueblo, Defleshment play brutal death metal. The band cites as influences Cannibal Corpse, Morbid Angel, and Left to Rot.
Albuquerque’s Deforme play straight-up death metal with a dash of black metal. Expect old-school foundations executed with modern flair.

Around since 1997, Albuquerque’s Launchpad has played host to bands of numerous genres, including punk, indie rock, and metal. The Launchpad is located on 618 Central Avenue Southwest, which is between 6th and 7th streets.
